Exciting developments emerge from the Facebook AI Research (FAIR) lab, revealing a groundbreaking approach to enhancing Large Language Models (LLMs). In their latest research, FAIR introduces a methodology termed "Better & Faster Large Language Models via Multi-token Prediction," showcasing remarkable advancements in code generation performance without increasing training budget or data volume. By transitioning from single-token to multi-token prediction tasks, FAIR achieves substantial improvements in both code generation and inference speed, with a staggering 3x enhancement observed in the latter.
